Name:: Ramu
Nickname:: Ramu
Gender:: Male
Age:: 4 years
Pack:: Looking to join Gawain Pack.
Status:: Loner
Ranking:: Loner
*Height:: Roughly 30 inches at the shoulder.
*Weight:: About 115 lbs, give or take.
*Length:: From snout to tail, Ramu is 45 inches.
*Sub-Species:: Gray Wolf.
Body Build:: Ramu is a wolf of average size, a scruffy but healthy brute. His slender snout and large, close set ears give him a sharp, attentive look, and his almond-shaped eyes miss little to none. His sweeping tail lends him balance, as do his large paws, and his thick, though badly tangled, fur keeps him warm and dry. His muscular hindquarters and strong legs carry him long distances, and his powerful shoulders work to drive him continuously forward.
*Eye Color:: Amber. Ramu’s eyes are a rich, red brown, a prominent facial feature. Often set on some distant place, Ramu's eyes disclose nothing, allowing him to remain a closed book to other wolves.
*Fur Color:: Gray. Matted and ridden with burs and dead leaves, Ramu’s coat could use some work. The brown/black tinged hairs that cover his back are purely functional, as is the softer gray fur of his underbelly.
History:: Where to begin? Ramu has a long complex history, a brutal four years which have shaped him to be the wolf he is today. He was a good pup, an average one, the kind who romps and runs with siblings. It wasn’t until he was weaned things took a sour turn, when disease struck the forest. In a month, the game went from plentiful to practically nonexistent, which was no picnic for young Ramu, who had only just begun to hunt. It was the epitome of “survival of the fittest”, dozens of wolves starving and killing one another. It was no place for a wolf, certainly not a young wolf like Ramu. But more devastating than the lack of food was the way it changed Ramu’s pack. They began to show their true colors, to reveal new and disturbing things about themselves. Brother killed brother, sister killed sister, and in some cases, the wolves ate each other. It was a horrific time of fear and despair, a time Ramu’s young mind simply couldn’t understand. So, he did the unthinkable: he ran away. Ramu’s choice to flee was a wise one, though he refuses to see it as such, considering it a flaw. He hardened himself to the ways of wolves and nature itself, deciding he didn’t need anyone or anything, a family least of all.
Relatives:: “I don’t know. If any of the wolves I lived with were related to me, they certainly didn’t act like it.”
Offspring:: None.
Beloved:: None.
Personality:: Ramu is not a large wolf, but his stance and carriage say otherwise. He’s certainly rough around the edges, and gives the impression of a sarcastic and belligerent wolf. Some see him as selfish, and in a sense, he is. He cares little for others, wanting only to survive, and self preservation holds priority over pack mates. He has no reason to care for others, for they have never been kind to him, and he does not believe in being “fair”. He respects his leaders, but often makes himself scarce, appearing only when needed. Deep, deep down, Ramu might be seen as a caring wolf, one who would rather befriend you than do battle, but externally he is brutal and unforgiving, never one to show mercy or mince words. He has toughened both emotionally and physically through years on the run, and harsh words have little effect on him, or at least appear to. He hates to show vulnerability and weakness, fearful of what others will think. He has a weakness (several in fact), all wolves do, but Ramu is a good actor. All in all, his extreme distrust and lack of judgment makes him dangerous and difficult, a rogue most tend to avoid.
