What do you think of my story for school so far?

I always had it good things going for me, or so I thought. A happy little family of five , and what I would call a perfect life. My mother , Joan , and father , George , were both vetinarians , they made good pay I suppose….we live on a ranch down in the south of the United States , Tennessee to be exact. We have horses here to , and my dog Lassy. She was named after the original Lassie , even if she’s a border collie. My sister’s claim we share her , but I prefer not to listen to them. I go to the school a few blocks away called Hillingsworth Middle , I’m in the 7th grade and have just had my birthday. I’m 12 now , a preteen is what they call that age , but I think they just say that for the heck of it , do we call 17 year old’s preadults? I didn’t think so. I love it here , or shall I say loved? It hasn’t been the same since I was kidnapped , it all happened 3 months ago from this very day.

“Ali get back here!” I screamed and ran after her , she’s one of my sister’s , their twins. Ali and Alyysa , there 7 years old , guess who’s their babysitter after school everyday? Me. We climbed upon the bus as I dragged my backpack along the cold ground. Mid winter and and I packed with gloves , hats , jackets , and boots. Glancing around the bus I chose a seat that was empty but by the boys. Not in a way you’d think , their my friends. Nothing more , and they will never be anything more than just friends. Staring out my window I saw my mom waving good bye to us , looking back , my two sister’s were waving bye frantically like they were never going to see her again or something….I on the other hand smiled faintly and waved bye back. I now wish I would of waved similar to my sisters’ everyday , because you never know how long you’ll actually be able to wave bye to them , but eventually I guess you’d wave hello again , right?

‘Hey Lusie!” I called and skipped up to her after I got off the bus “Have you heard the news?” She looked at me kind of puzzled and shook her head. Sighing I slung my back up to the ground and crouched by my locker , whilst getting my stuff I told her what I had heard last night “There’s been kidnapper’s around , my mother warned me about them……It’s increased a lot in the past few month’s , and only one of the kids has been found , but the kidnapper wasn’t. Scary huh?” I said and looked at her closing my locker shut and holding my math books close to me. “I’m not scared one bit , if someone tried to kidnap me I’d just scream rape or something…” Lusie stated , rolling my eye’s at her the bell rang and we scurried off to our class. She always did have that superior attitude , sometimes I wished she’d be more relaistic. Lusie was my best friend , I wouldn’t trade anything for here , even for a more realistic friend.

Sitting in math class my mind wandered off into the new’s I had saw. Kidnapper’s , more kids every month , body found dead in lake. The stories flashed in my mind like lightning , the thought of it scared me , but little did I know. “Hey Kassidy?” I snapped out of my thought’s torwards whoever said my name , turning to the sound I blinked blankly at Callie. “Hey?” I muttered , she wasn’t much of my friend but she was nice….”Did you hear?” , Callie replied. “No what?” I stared at my paper , I didn’t really want to be caught talking with her…..I know it sounded bad , but it was the truth. No one did. Callie had red hair down to her waist , and she kept them in pig tails. We were in the 7th grade , pigtails were more of a 2nd grade thing. She also had glasses and was short with absolutly no style what so ever. I have a light brown colored hair that is pin straight. I sometimes curled it , I usually keep it down or in a pony tail. I also have light blue eye’s , and a fair complexure. I’m also quite petite , not to brag though. “The school homecoming is this Saturday! Are you going!?” Callie seemed excited , I wondered why I wasn’t….”I don’t know , to tell you the truth….” I mummbled and grabbed my books off to my next class just as the next school bell rang.

School was a bit of a drag to me , I had planty of friends , but how much I’d rather be home….outside. This next class , Social Studies , I didn’t mind to much though. Because guess what? Right by me sat Greg Jone’s , and I wouldn’t dare tell a living soul , but I had the hugest crush on him. Hurrying of to Social Studies I made sure to stop by the bathroom and fix up my make-up. I wore foundation , mascara , lip gloss , and some eye liner on the botton. But you can’t tell I have foundation on , some people say I shouldn’t wear make-up , I say they should keep their opinion’s to themselves. Making it to my class I peeked behind my soldier at him , he was wearing a name brand hoodie and faded blue jeans , smiling on the inside I turned and said “Did you do your homework? I sure didn’t……hope we don’t go over it. I’ll probably just write some random answer’s as usual.” Lifting his gaze to meet mine Greg stared at me blankly “We had homework?” he questioned with wide eye’s. Chuckling to myself I turned back in my seat.

Social Studies always went by fast , along with all my other classes , and soon I was back at home stepping of the buss. Alyssa and Ali zipped passed me grabbing eachother’s hair , annyoed I threw my backpack on the porch and walked off , the new neighbor had just moved in. I guess I could go introduce myself , hospitality never hurt right? I had been wrong on that on , but as usual I didn’t know back then. Walking down the street I stopped at his driveway , standing there a little relucantly It took me awhile to gain enough corage go up and knock. The guy who came out quickly slided outside his door and looked at me , a grin on his aging face. He was tall and slender with some stubble and glasses. His har was black and his eye’s were such a dark shade of brown they almost matched. His weight looked to be around 280 , and he looked like he had some musicles going for him…..to me he looked creepy though.

“May I help you Miss?” He had asked me in a husky voice , looking up at him I smiled politley and shook my head no. “I was , erm , welcoming you to the neighbrohood. Welcome….I’m Kassidy.” I held out my hand and he accepted , shaking my hand. We had some small talk and I had some pretty good feelings about this guy , he seemed nice. But all of a sudden I heard someone yell in the background. It sounded like the word ‘Help’ , confused I looked up at him “What was that?” I questioned and tried to peak a bit through his window. “Nothing , I have to go. Nice to meet you.” Vince was him name , and he quickly shut his door after that , before I had a chance to say bye.

Well that was rude. I had thought and stood there , a bit befundlled. Shaking my head I stuffed my hands in my pocket and glared back at his house. He wasn’t all that nice as I thought , but I was determined. And my mind had been made up , I quickly darted around his house and played Ninja basically , I know what I heard and it was someone yelling ‘Help’….maybe I was wrong and his wife or someone needed his help on something , but in the pit of my stomache it didn’t feel that way. Looking for an open window around his plain wooden house , I found one. It had red curtains draped down , but a little crack was there. Checking around me I crpet up and cupped my hands around my eye’s peeking through. I regret that day , more than anything in the worl do I regret it. What I saw would scar me for the rest of my life…in many ways than just one.

I gasped and stumbled back , tripping over my shoe I fell backwards on the cold frost. In the room was a girl , around 13 years of age , tied to a chair……by rope. Her mouth taped shut , and in the room was Mr.Vince. Once she saw me she squirmed and tried to yell but it came out a bunch of mmmmm’s. Trying to get up I felt frozen , what had I just gotten myself into? My heart raced , each beat had 5 beats of its own , adrenaline rushed through me and everything felt like it was a live or die situation…..in a way it was. Because the noise and where she was looking caused Mr.Vince to pull the curtain’s back , he looked directly at me and I swore I saw his rage , and his secret. I screamed a blood curtling scream and got the heck out of there , but not before I saw the words on his lips “I’ll get you.” And followed by the screams of the other girl…..but they were quickly silenced. I don’t know whether it was me far enough for it to fade or whether she had been killed…

Stumbling over every step I made it to my house and barged through the door , out of breath it looked like I had just saw a ghost. We would of looked alike because I was just as pale as one to. “Kassidy?” My heart pounded , for a second it sounded like Mr. Vince , but it was just my imagination , Ali stepped out of the hall and looked at me solemly. “Are you ok?” she asked innocently , Ali was the caring one , Alyysa was a loud mouth. Nodding my head I pulled myself together , “Y-yea , just uh stay inside ok? Promise me?” Ali didn’t question me and nodded her head , turning around I locked the door , every door of the house that led outside , and closed the curtain to every window……had he meant it?
